Often, a book which appears to be missing is being used by another reader elsewhere in the Library, in which case it will still appear as "available" in Stella Search. It can take a few days for items left in one library to be reshelved at a different home location.
However, books and other items do go missing sometimes, and we are grateful when this is reported, especially if you have been looking for it for several days and it is still not to be found at its shelfmark. In this case we will look for the book ourselves and if necessary update its status in Stella, and if appropriate look into ordering a replacement copy. Please use our missing items form.
